When Heinrich died, ownership and management of the factory in Tuttlingen, near the German Black Forest, passed to his three sons Ernst, Heinrich jnr and Karl. The company developed to over 1000 employees by 1924 and twice that amount by 1964. The company has remained under family and in 1975 Markus Rieker took the control; he has lead the company from strength to strength. Rieker Antistress is currently undergoing rapid growth throughout the world in 62 countries and is one of the largest shoe manufacturers in Europe. The shoes are produced in eight different countries 7 awards have been received by Rieker in the past three years.
